Welcome to the 12th Edition of the
International Micro Air Vehicle Conference and Competition
(IMAV) 2020

Dear IMAV community:

After a careful consideration and due to the current situation of the COVID-19 (Corona virus) pandemic, the international committee in agreement with the local committee have decided to postpone the IMAV 2020. However, in hope that this difficult situation will be overcome, the IMAV 2021 will be still hosted in Mexico with dates to be decided soon.

For now, we can announce that June or July of 2021 are the months where the IMAV could be run.

The call for papers and call for competitions will be updated soon with the new dates, although mid January is being considered as the new deadline.

Our social networks will still run as IMAV 2020, these will be changed in due time.

The rule book has also been updated. So far, the rules for the competitions and the special challenges will remain the same.

Any questions or comments please email them to imav2020@inaoep.mx

We wish you all to be safe. Our thoughts are with those who have been affected.

The IMAV is an annual international event bringing together scientists, technologists and enthusiasts on the research and technological development of micro-air vehicles.

For the first time ever, the IMAV will be organized in Latin America. The 12th IMAV 2020 will be held in Mexico, in the City of San Andres Cholula, in the State of Puebla, between the 16th to the 20th of November, 2020.

The organization will be run by three Mexican academic institutions: The Instituto Nacional de Astrofísica Óptica y Electrónica (INAOE); the Universidad de las Américas Puebla (UDLAP), and the Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla (BUAP).

You are welcome to join the competition, present your ideas at the conference or participate as a spectator. We look forward to seeing you at the IMAV 2020!
